Ondo State Association Chicago

Our Chicago Journey

Ondo State Association (OSA) Chicago is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2003 by Ondo State indigenes living in the Chicagoland area. Formerly known as the Ondo State Forum of America – Chicago Chapter, the association was established to support, empower, and unite Ondo State citizens both in Nigeria and the United States.

Our mission is to promote the rich socio-cultural heritage of Ondo State, foster community development, and create impactful programs that uplift the lives of our people. Through cultural celebrations, educational workshops, charitable outreach, and economic empowerment initiatives, OSA Chicago provides a strong platform for civic engagement and diaspora development.

As an active Nigerian cultural and community association in Chicago, we design and implement programs that:

  • Preserve and promote Yoruba and Ondo traditions,

  • Educate our members on local and international economic opportunities,

  • Support charitable causes both locally in Illinois and across Ondo State, Nigeria,

  • Build sustainable partnerships with like-minded organizations for greater impact.

We believe that well-structured, purpose-driven programs can help address many of the social and economic challenges facing our communities today. That’s why we welcome collaborations with legitimate NGOs, cultural groups, and government bodies that align with our values and vision.

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to all Ondo State indigenes, their family members, and individuals who share our passion for community service and cultural preservation. OSA Chicago is primarily funded through member contributions, fundraising events, and donations from generous supporters.
